11/03/2008 - No C105a's from 1st April

Customs Information Paper (08) 19 has confirmed that as from 1st April C105a and C109s will no longer be required as the entry completion stage.

At audit Customs may request for the document to be completed. This approach is similar to the current waiver allowed in the UK for importers using CFSP.

25/02/2008 - BIFA success at Low Value CPC

HMRC have agreed the additional of a CPC that allows multi-item, low value consignments to be amalgamated under one commodity code. The new CPC is 10 00 028 and is only to be used where one exporter is sending goods to one consignee and the total value of all consignments does not exceed £6000. Goods subject to CAP, IPR, Warehousing, TI and licensing are excluded from the CPC.

The inclusion of this CPC follow an 18 month lobbying campaign by the BIFA Policy Group 5 (Customs).

29/01/2008 - SAD H goes Live!

As you will be aware, as from Monday 21st January all customs import and export declarations must be completed using the new SAD Harmonised rules.
